Computer Art

Artist(s)

Robert Fine

Robert P. Fine is a contemporary American artist whose generative, code-based work blends early computer art traditions with advanced rendering techniques. Influenced by pioneers like Vera Molnar, Fine reinterprets iconic geometric patterns — such as those from her (Des)Ordres series — by placing them into simulated environments using global illumination algorithms.

His art is largely representational, using physics-based light transport to create richly textured scenes that evoke pointillism and explore naturalistic forms through recursive and fractal geometry. With a background in intellectual history, finance, and computer graphics, Fine brings a unique interdisciplinary lens to the evolving field of digital art.
