Mark Baskinger is a designer, educator, and researcher serving as Professor and Chair of Product Design at Carnegie Mellon University, where he also directs the Joseph Ballay Center for Design Fusion and the Moon Arts Group. His work bridges tangible interaction design, visual thinking, and space-related artifacts, with exhibitions at venues. Co-author of Drawing Ideas, a foundational text on visual thinking, Baskinger also co-led the MoonArk project — an interdisciplinary cultural artifact designed for lunar travel. His research bridges design, art, technology, and deep time storytelling.
